As part of Safety Week (May 5–9), the New Haven Fire Department (NHFD) will perform mock rescue drills at Osborn Memorial Laboratories on Thursday, May 8. A live training sign will be posted outside of the building during these exercises.
Training activities include hose advancement drills, victim searches, stuck elevator drills, and forcible entry simulations. These activities may generate low or no noise in the area. Though, there may be a potential impact on traffic due to NHFD fire truck parking. No sirens will be used.
Every effort will be made to minimize any inconvenience caused by these training exercises. Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated as we work together with the City of New Haven to enhance the safety and security of our community.
