Helen Hadley Hall demolition

After thoughtful analysis and consideration, Yale decided to raze Helen Hadley Hall (HHH), scheduled to begin in spring 2025. The future development enabled by this project will significantly contribute to Yale’s academic growth and success, making way for an exciting new space for the School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS).

The university has taken steps to ensure a smooth transition, including consulting with the New Haven Preservation Trust, who support this decision.

Yale Housing replaced all 177 beds for students who were eligible to live in HHH, securing 188 beds in other Yale-owned buildings.
